Update to our Terms of Service

Effective Thursday, 27 August 2026, we’ve updated our Terms of Service. We’ve also published a new set of standard terms for coaching.

Most of this is structural. As we’ve started selling more services alongside our toolkits and card decks, one set of terms covering everything had stopped doing the job properly.

Key changes

  • Terms for specific products – Coaching now has its own standard terms, covering how sessions, packs and retainers work. They apply in addition to the Terms of Service, and where the two differ, the coaching terms apply for that purchase. Workshops will follow the same pattern.
  • What we sell – We’ve updated the list to include coaching and workshops, not just digital products, physical products and subscriptions.
  • Licences for digital products – We’ve replaced “personal use only” with something clearer. Unless the product page says otherwise, a digital product is licensed to one individual. Some products carry a broader licence: the Team Planning Toolkit, for example, is sold with a licence covering one team.
  • Subscriptions – This section now applies only to digital subscriptions and memberships. Coaching retainers are not subscriptions. They run for a fixed term and don’t renew automatically.
  • Refunds – The Terms of Service now point to our returns and refunds policy, which forms part of them, rather than setting out a separate and slightly different position.
  • Payments – We’ve added that for higher value purchases, including coaching, workshops and bulk orders, we can invoice you for payment by bank transfer or direct debit in Australia, the UK, the US and the euro area.
  • Limitation of liability – Our previous clause excluded liability altogether. We’ve replaced it with a limit: our liability is capped at what you paid for the relevant product or service, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential loss and claims need to be brought within six months. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are unaffected, as always.
  • Indemnity – We’ve narrowed this so it covers your use of the Site, breach of a licence for a digital product, and breach of these terms, rather than anything arising from any product we’ve ever sold you.
